FreeTheme One is the free base version of the professional Shopware 6 theme by TC-Innovations GmbH. You get a secure and stable foundation with all important features for a successful start in professional e-commerce – without purchase price. FreeTheme One can be extended with optional add-ons, but the base remains free.
The theme combines essential functions with powerful features that are normally only found in paid premium themes – already included in the free base. This allows you to start quickly, securely and easily, focusing on your business. All settings can be conveniently configured via Shopware administration – without ever having to touch code.

The theme is deliberately designed for small to medium shop projects – not for large enterprise shops with highly individual requirements or very large product catalogs.
FreeTheme One offers about ~10 plugin-like features such as PageSpeed optimization, off-canvas shopping cart, simplified checkout, compact premium header (Header One), top-bar with USPs, HC-Architecture® for highest compatibility, mobile-first design and much more. In addition, there are around ~50 theme configuration options for colors, logos, fonts, layouts, header & footer, product display and mobile adjustments. All settings can be conveniently configured via Shopware administration – without code adjustments. The theme is fully responsive, SEO-optimized, performance-optimized and WCAG-compliant for accessibility.
Installing FreeTheme One is very easy: Option 1 (recommended): Log in to your Shopware administration, go to Extensions → My Extensions → Shopware Store, search for "FreeTheme" and click "Install". Then activate the theme under Sales Channels → Themes. Option 2: Download FreeTheme One from your Shopware Account, go to Extensions → My Extensions → Upload in the administration, select the ZIP file and upload it. Then activate the theme under Sales Channels → Themes. Installation takes less than 2 minutes and requires no technical knowledge.
FreeTheme is exclusively provided via the official Shopware Store and uses the Shopware licensing system. This has important advantages for you: Automatic update notifications directly in your Shopware administration, easy installation with just one click and seamless integration into your Shopware system. We deliberately do not offer alternative download sources like GitHub – this way we guarantee that you always get the current, secure version and benefit from all updates. Installation takes less than 2 minutes: Simply log in to the Shopware Store, download FreeTheme for free and install it directly via your administration. If you don't have access to the Shopware Store, we recommend using a Shopware Cloud test environment – this is also available free of charge.
The base version of FreeTheme One is permanently free. You get a professional basic equipment with all important features, regular updates and support – without purchase price. The theme can be extended with additional features via optional add-ons if needed. The footer notice "Theme by TC-Innovations" enables us to offer the free base long-term and to further develop it. For special requirements (e.g. white label for agencies, compliance requirements), the footer notice can be removed after individual review.

Yes, FreeTheme One receives regular and free updates. After each new Shopware version, we check compatibility and provide updates if necessary. Updates include: Compatibility with new Shopware versions, bugfixes and error corrections, new features and improvements, performance optimizations and security updates. Updates are automatically delivered via the Shopware Store and can be conveniently installed in the administration. Your theme settings and customizations are retained during updates.
No, no programming knowledge is required to use FreeTheme One. All settings are conveniently made via the Shopware administration – with intuitive input fields, color pickers, upload buttons and toggles. The theme configuration is clearly structured and contains helpful descriptions for each option. For individual CSS adjustments, you can optionally add your own CSS in the expert settings. For more in-depth customizations (Twig templates, SCSS), update-safe adjustments can be made via a child theme or customizing apps.
